Back!

Wow it has been a while! Over a year since my last post and oh boy have things changed.
First of all, we have a little baby boy named Kalani now.
It was quite an adventure as we didn't find out we were expecting until I was 6 months along. He is now almost 4 months and is such a blessing.
Also, we have moved to Calgary because I was attending college here. I am doing school online now so who knows where we will be in the next few years.
The last year has been an exciting adventure and I can't wait for what the next few years have in store for us.

Blessings!

What's Next?

Life just hasn't stopped moving quickly for us!

I moved into Ian's apartment after the honeymoon (end of June) and just unpacked all my things a few weeks ago and now I have to pack again!

We are moving to Calgary on August 15th to an adorable one bedroom apartment (with lots of shelves and an amazing ceiling) because I am going to Rocky Mountain College in September.

We are heading up to Calgary with my parents on Saturday to get possession of the apartment and I am very excited!

I feel like my time in Edmonton is done and I need to start a new phase of my life. A time for Ian and I to start establishing ourselves as a Newlywed couple!

Also, we recieved A LOT of great, amazing gifts from awesome generous people and can't wait to set up our new place!

A big thank you to everyone who was involved in organzing showers for us! Thank you so much for celebrating with us!

The toasts were my favourite as Ian's friends from Australia started sending messages to Luke's and Ben's blackberries with things to say to us. Hilarious (Say it, Say it..EZZA") and insightful ("choose your side of the bed wisely"), it was a definite highlight.

Planning Our Wedding

7 month of planning!

The planning begins!
Lots of magazines, websites,
e-mails, long distance phone calls,
stress, waiting...
but all worth it!

Found: THE Dress
Where: Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
When: December
How: The first dress I saw, the first dress I tried on, the only dress I loved.
I had done lots of research into dresses and what different styles there were. I drew 6 or 7 different dresses that I liked and this one was a combination of all of them. The colour was perfect for my skin tone, the price was excellent and because it was made in Mexico, it was perfect for a destination wedding in Hawaii.
Inspiration: sand, sun, ocean, waves, surfing, bare feet, natural, classic, romantic, original.

Our Story

How we met: through mutual friends, over MSN

Where I was: Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Where he was: Ottawa, Canada

Where I lived: Edmonton, Canada

Where he lived: Sydney, Australia

First started talking (MSN, texting, Skype): March

Realized we were meant to be: April

First met in person: May

Where: Ottawa, Canada

Engaged: October

Where: his apartment, hallways lined with white candles to a room filled with white candles. How: covered my eyes at the door and led me to his room that was filled with white candles and told me to keep my eyes closed. He got down on one knee...

What he said: "Open your eyes" "Will you be my princess forever?"

What I said: through teary eyes, "Yes"
